The physician’s role has progressed from simply being that of a healer to that of a counselor and confidant. The art and science of healing entails not only technical proficiency, but also the ability to relate and communicate. Dr. Strong places a premium on the importance of a collaborative patient/physician relationship.                A collaborative effort fosters awareness, guides support and translates the needs of the patient into a holistic regimen of healing. As a psychiatrist, Dr. Strong appreciates the honesty, sensitivity, and enthusiastic commitment that this role entails and embodies all of these highly valued characteristics.

Dr. Strong believes psychiatry should seek to examine the neurologic, genetic, and environmental conditions that contribute to child, adolescent and adult development. Be Strong Wellness Clinic, LLC was founded to incorporate the interaction of these components to provide comprehensive care, diagnostic clarity and individualized treatment to meet the needs of his patients.

Dr. Staffel Strong received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. He completed General Psychiatry Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
